Spring 2019 Informance: Spring CCC Workshop:
Composer, Sara Bongo, describes her piece: the opening refrain represents hot spots of global tension, dissonance helps us to imagine the depths of pain experienced by people in turmoil, and the lighter flag waves of the woodwinds bespeak their dreams. Marching tones portray further conflict, yet we can hear towards the end the softeneing sounds of the continuing process of peace. As Jimi Hendrix so aptly put it: "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace".
